About the program

The Information Technology (IT) program aims to provide an interdisciplinary education for students interested in Computer Technology, Information Technology, and Management. Graduates from this program will have the knowledge and skills to develop business information systems, analyze and design databases, manage computer networks, and have a sound understanding of the business process. The emphasis is on skills development in programming information systems and information technology supporting projects.
 
Students intending to study in this program should have a strong interest in information technology and information technology services, and an aptitude for data analysis and information-based decision making. He/she should be a responsible learner, and a good team player.
 

Area of Research

Decision Support System(DSS), Data Mining, Semantic Web, Geographic Information System(GIS), BioInformatics

  1. Application development-a unique blend of the web application and mobile application

  2. IT services-with a strong emphasis on database management, network management, and IT support

Facilities

The IT program provides a wide range of computing resources and support services. There are more than 30 Windows-ready computers for student use in an open lab setting. GPS, iPads, mobile phones, and access to over 50 computer programs are provided.
