Walailak University by School of Informatics sign an academic cooperation agreement (MOU) with the Tourism Authority of Thailand

             On September 16, 2021, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, and Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) jointly signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate between TAT and WU. It is a collaboration between the School of Information Science, WU, with Associate Professor Dr. Poonpong Boonprahman and the faculty to collaborate with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in applying information technology to promote tourism in digital marketing, which drives tourism in a new dimension that keeps pace with the changing era. The event was honored by Mr. Ekawit Meepian, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Associate Professor Dr. Charan Boonkan, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Chanankon Chandang, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Sciences Assistant Professor Dr. Salil Boonprahman, Department of Information Technology Tourism Authority of Thailand Executives from the government sector, private sector, airlines, and media join to witness the signing at Sri Thammarat Room, Architectural Building together with giving prizes from 5 airlines to lucky winners from participating in the Nakhon City Night Tour activity.
