Overview of the Program
Doctor of Philosophy Program in Management of Information Technology Innovation (International Program), Walailak University, focuses on the potential development of students to gain skills and experiences of doing research for creating new knowledge,, develop the innovation in the management of information technology, pursue multidisciplinary researches by applying novel and appropriate technologies. In addition, the students are expected to have responsibility, morals, and ethics. They should be able to have professional communication and good teamwork skills. Moreover, our students should have strong awareness in doing research related to local communities, societies, and the country.

Objective
The program’s main objective is to produce doctorates with knowledge and understanding in information technology that can be effectively applied in responsible work with integrity and ethics. In addition, the program offers an opportunity for the Ph.D. student to acquire new knowledge in Information Technology and related areas. Students also gained skills in planning, analyzing, executing, and solving research problems related to information technology. They also gain communication skills to publish academic works in an international journal.

Three academic years (6 Semesters) for Type 1.1
Program of the Study
Thesis presentation and report will be performed in English under curriculum type 1.1 formats. The Doctor of Philosophy Program in in Management of Information Technology Innovation comprises of 48 credits for curriculum type 1.1.

Requirement for Application
Applicants must meet the qualification as specified in each program as follows.
Type 1.1: Holding
a Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent in related program, and published scientific paper in national or international journal or at least having work experience in research, with approval depended upon the consent of the curriculum administrative committee.
Language Proficiency Requirement
Applicants from a country where English is not the first language must enclose English Proficiency test result. The result must not be more than two years. The following English Proficiency tests are accepted for graduate admission, and a minimum score should be as follow: TOEFL ITP 500 or TOEFL CBT 173 or TOEFL IBT 61 or IELTS 5.5 or WU–TEP 74 or CEFR B2.
Tuition Fee and Funding
International student: 172,500 Thai Baht/semester
Thai student: 135,000 Thai Baht/semester

Selection Process
All received applications will be assessed and ranked against the eligible criteria for the available quota by the program committee. Outcome will be circulated after the selection process is finalized.
Graduation Criteria
Two published papers or at least accepted for publishing, in international scientific journals.
