Lessons learn and experience from the Co-op education during COVID-19 of the DCM program.

While doing an internship in COVID-19, the Digital Content and Media program (DCM) makes sure the 3rd and 4th-year students have enough information to make informed, safe, and confident employment in Co-operative education decisions. Therefore, the DCM program has organized activities to present Co-op lessons learn and experience of the 4th year students and students who have graduated upon the last semester. The year 1-3 students will be listened to and inquired about any Co-op issues during COVID-19.

          Dr.Naparat Chookerd, Head of the DCM program and students who present the internship, gave interesting suggestions to 1st and 2nd-year students who participated in this activity, for example, tips for working remotely as a co-op student, or what to do when you have probably been asked by your employer to work remotely. Senior students have given good advice. “Even if you feel a little uncertain about this new internship agreement. But nothing to concern. If you have clear guidelines, in the beginning, you will be able to make plans for yourself to complete your internships quickly and easily.”

          In this internship presentation activity, there are lecturers and students in all four levels (approximately 100 people) of the program participating in. In addition to the lecture on the operation interns who also share their life experiences, living conditions, and work ideas for juniors students. This time, 14 seniors are presenting, divided into nine internships in Thailand and five internships oversea including Australia and Malaysia.

  • Royal Thai Consulate-General, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia (Graphic design).
  • Dr. Harold Royle Library, Armidale Hospital Australia (Librarian & Collection developer).
  • Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR) Kampus Puncak Alam Universiti Teknologi MARA (Librarian & Digital Collection staff).
