IMI program Lecturers join the SAH Virtual Mini Symposium seminar under the topic “Medical Health” organized by School of Allied Health Sciences

          On 24 February 2022, Dr. Chalee Kawerat, a lecturer in IMI program, School of Informatics attends the seminar title “Dawn of the Metawerse in Healthcare” under the topic Medical Health orgainzed by School of Allied Health Sciences on Zoom platform. In this seminar Dr. Chalee Kaewrat provides the idea on applying Metaverse in Healthcare, which is a very new and highly popular technology at this moment. Using strategic development of AR(Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Technology) in Healthcare could take the idea of Metaverse to become differentiated developers. Nowadays, VR is used in the hospitals for the most complicated surgery by combining with other medical equipments so that the mediacation and surgery will be more effective and precise. Moreover, there is application development that allow the patients to easily see the doctors online and there will possibly be Metaverse applied and transformed to the virtual hospital n the future that the patients don’t need to go to the hospital and they can virtually receive medication at home. Using technologies in medication not only support healthcare professionals but also easily access the patients because of the life styles of people have been changed and the advancement in technologies that focus on protection rather than threatment that will improve the quality of life
