Information Technology and Digital Innovation (ITD) student showcase

Today, ITD major has a student showcase to introduce to everyone. It is “Cloud Hosting for Monitoring Energy Consumption and Management in Building Based on Internet of Things and Modbus Protocol” . It is developed to manage energy using in the building. This is to respond user requirement. The process is to measure the quantity of in house energy consumption and send the value for processing at microcontroller. Then, the result is shown in website on cloud.  This project is a case study of energy consumption in a house. This is to support the energy management is a house more efficiently.  Moreover, the system is capable to generate the report of energy consumption for the specific time frame.   

This system runs on Internet using SDM120MODBUS for energy consumption measurement. It uses Raspberry Pi for data processing by receiving the data from SDM120MODBUS then send the value to the website. This system development is the prototype developing which can be applied for further application.  This project is developed by Mr. Witaya Chuayanan and Miss Thanya Puanmetarit under supervision of Miss Suppat Rungruengsilapa.

ITD major focuses on producing the graduate who has knowledge and ability to integrate the learned knowledge both in theory and practice.   The graduate would have morality and ethics.   This is to help solving the shortage of the country’s qualified IT professionals which is the basic for driving the raise of country’s economy, society and culture.   DO you love to have the great product like this?
