The Digital Content & Media course has organized a seminar on media literacy.

Media literacy is the ability to classify and classify different types of media. Media recipients must understand the information the messengers are sending. Today’s people receive a large amount of data from numerous sources entirely from traditional media (TV, radio, newspapers, and magazines). There were various formats, such as text, memes, viral videos, social media, video games, advertisements, etc. But all media had one thing in common: someone made it. Came up, and it was made for a reason, understanding why it is fundamental to media literacy.

The digital age has made it simple for everyone to create media and distribute them quickly. Most of the time, we do not know for sure who created this information. Why did they make it, and is it authentic or not? It makes learning and teaching the media difficult. However, media literacy is an essential skill in the digital age. Therefore, the Digital Content & Media program has coordinated a seminar on media literacy. To educate, create understanding, as well as to make participants recognize the significance of media literacy.

On September 22, 2020, the DCM program, in conjunction with the Central of Media and Resources Center (CLM), organized an academic seminar on Understanding Media, Understanding Online Traces, and Cope with Cyber Disasters. The forum was hosted by Dr. Siwanath Nathapichai, Director of CLM. There are 3 highly qualified speakers at this event, consisting of:

  1. Mr. Chatpong Choosangnil, who won the 2019 Master Teacher of Life Skills Integration Learning Management in Thailand. Mr. Chatpong gave lectures on the topic of digital footprints.
