Walailak MTA’s Public Relations in Blue Crab Conservation

The 2nd year MTA students, together with Walailak University’s Blue Crab Bank and National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), created short animations in MTA courses to promote the conservation of blue crabs.

To develop a good animation, MTA students researched relevant information as their materials in animation production. In addition, our MTA program invited Asst.Prof. Dr.Amonsak Sawusdee, the director of Center for Academic Service in Walailak University, and Mr. Charoen To-E-Tae or BangMu, the leader of Blue Crab Bank in Thasala district, to give a special lecture on the conservation of blue crabs and the benefit of setting up a blue crab bank.

Along with a fieldtrip to Ban Lam fisherman village where a blue crab bank is operating, our students applied their knowledge & experience to produce short animations in MTA’s 2D Animation and Animation Production courses.
