Walailak University’s Multimedia Technology and Animation (MTA) Course teams up with Walailak Culture Hermitage to develop VR360 application.

Walailak University’s Multimedia Technology & Animation Course, in association with Walailak Culture Hermitage, is developing VR360 application for Toompung archaeological site, a 1,200-years-old sacred ruins located on the campus. The application exhibits virtual reality (VR) technology aiming to create learning activities for the historical site. Through our VR360 application, imaginary objects and environments are reconstructed digitally based on the archaeological knowledge of the ruins and the historical knowledge of the construction period and local area. Along with the on-site realities, VR360 tells the story of Toompung archaeological site from the ancient time until the present. In addition, we plan to extend this VR360 project to various historical sites in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, such as Khao Ka Ancient Remains, Moklan Archaeological Site, Wat Maheyong Archaeological Site, and Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan.
