On November 19, 2024, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, conducted an educational guidance session at Kantang Pittayakorn School, Trang Province. The event aimed to introduce the university’s programs and educational opportunities while inspiring high school students to prepare for higher education.

During the session, information was presented on the five programs offered by the School of Informatics:

Digital Technology in Medicine
Intelligent Information Technology
Interactive Multimedia Animation and Game
Digital Communication Arts
Digital Content and Media

Academic staff and students from the School of Informatics provided detailed presentations on each program, offered guidance on the curriculum, and answered questions about career prospects and future opportunities linked to technology and innovation.

The School of Informatics hopes that this guidance session will help students at Kantang Pittayakorn School identify suitable educational and career paths based on their talents and interests, paving the way for confident entry into higher education in the future.

The event featured experts from Thailand, Malaysia, and the UK who shared insights on integrating AI into higher education. With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
