A practical workshop on “Virtual Reality Training for Education”

On May 1st, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Chaowanun Chundam, Deputy Dean, and faculty members of the Interactive Multimedia Animation and Game program at the School of Informatics, were invited as workshop presenters on “Virtual Reality Training for Education” at the 9th edition of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL9) academic seminar on research development for teaching and learning. The event took place from May 1st to May 3rd, 2024, at the Architecture and Design Building, Walailak University.

The purpose of the event was to facilitate knowledge exchange, share experiences, discuss new trends in education management, and promote academic networking and collaboration among educators and institutions.

In addition to the practical workshop sessions, the event featured exhibition booths, workshops, and presentations showcasing outstanding work by faculty and educational staff.

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted the 4th international seminar “INFOCON 2025” under the theme “AI in Higher Education” via Zoom. The event featured experts from Thailand, Malaysia, and the UK who shared insights on integrating AI into higher education. With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
