On March 30, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, along with the school's executive team, faculty members, and Dr. Darunee Bunkrong, Assistant Dean for Chinese Strategic Graduate Studies and Educational Cooperation of the College of Graduate Studies, visited and held discussions with faculty members from universities and student recruitment agencies in the People's Republic of China.
On March 27, 2026, the faculty and staff of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, participated in the commemorative ceremony marking the 34th Anniversary of Walailak University’s Foundation (March 29). The event was held to celebrate over three decades of academic excellence and institutional pride.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted a graduate scholarship award ceremony. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Mongkol Theerananon, Vice President for University Relations and Development, who presided over the event. He was joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaowanan Khundam, Vice Dean and Chair of the Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Innovation, along with faculty members, staff, and master's and doctoral students who attended the ceremony.
March 16, 2026 – The School of Informatics, Walailak University warmly welcomed Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar, a distinguished faculty member from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany. This visit marks a significant milestone in expanding academic and research collaborations, further driving the School toward continuous internationalization.
On Monday, March 9, 2026, from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM, the School of Informatics at Walailak University organized a workshop titled "Building RAG Systems with n8n" at the BI Lab, Informatics Laboratory Building. The event aimed to equip staff with technological tools and enhance their working skills for the digital age.
On February 13, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, led the executive team, faculty, researchers, staff, and students in welcoming the Senate Committee on Education, Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. The delegation was led by Mr. Amornsak Kitthananan, Vice Chairman of the Committee, during their visit to observe outstanding research at the Informatics Studio.
On 3 February 2026, the executive team of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, together with the management team comprising Associate Professor Dr. Chaowanan Khundam and Assistant Professor Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, Associate Deans of the School of Informatics, as well as Mr. Kampanat Surangpak, Graduate Studies Project Officer of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Innovation Program, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Mongkol Teerananond, Vice President for International Relations and University Development, at the Wichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University.
On January 31, 2026, Walailak University administrators and representatives, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard, Vice President for Cooperative Education and General Administration, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, Associate Dean of the School of Informatics, the Acting Head of the Internal Audit Unit, and the university's internal auditors, attended the 100-Day Merit-Making Ceremony (Satamawara).
