The program is aligned with Walailak University’s vision of becoming “a leading comprehensive research university in Thailand.” It is designed to strongly integrate teaching and learning with research, with an emphasis on developing researchers capable of advancing knowledge and generating innovations in the field of Information Science that respond to national needs—particularly in data and information management for economic and social development, the development of knowledge management systems, and the creation of information technology innovations that are appropriate to local and national contexts.

     The program also promotes the establishment of academic and research collaboration networks with educational institutions and organizations both domestically and internationally, in order to enhance the quality and standards of education and research to achieve international recognition. This is consistent with the University’s goal of becoming a leading research university with a strong global reputation.
