Exploring the Tech World! Second-Year IT Students Visit Gosoft, Bitkub, and DigiTech ASEAN Thailand 2024

From November 21 to 23, 2024, the Intelligent Information Technology Program, School of Informatics, Walailak University, organized an educational field trip for its second-year students to explore and learn from leading technology organizations:

Gosoft (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a top-tier software development company under Central Group
Bitkub Online Co., Ltd., a leading digital asset trading platform in Thailand

Additionally, the students attended DigiTech ASEAN Thailand 2024, an international technology exhibition showcasing experts and leading tech companies from around the globe, held at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani.

This field trip provided students with hands-on experience in the world of information technology, insights into the latest trends and innovations, and opportunities to learn about operations in both large-scale enterprises and successful startups.

The students expressed their excitement and appreciation for the chance to learn outside the classroom. They were eager to apply the knowledge and experiences gained to further their studies and skill development.

The Intelligent Information Technology Program remains dedicated to organizing activities that enhance practical experience, preparing students to become highly skilled professionals in the IT industry of the future!

With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
