APPU Explores Collaboration with Digital Content and Media Program

Bangkok, Thailand (May 27, 2023) – Ajarn Kanitsorn Suriyaphaiboonwattana met with representatives of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) to discuss potential collaboration. The APPU is an intergovernmental organization focused on addressing challenges and advancing postal services in the Asia-Pacific region.

During the meeting, Ajarn Kanitsorn presented WALAI AutoLIB Ultimate, a research project developed by researchers team in the Digital Content and Media program. The system aims to streamline library management and enhance user experience.

The discussion centered around potential applications of the WALAI AutoLIB Ultimate system within the APPU framework, as well as opportunities for student internships at APPU member countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This collaboration could provide valuable real-world experience for students while contributing to the development of postal services in the region.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
