The delegation received a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Osman Ghazali, Dean of the School of Computing, along with his administrative team. The School of Computing at UUM is recognized as a center of excellence in Enterprise Computing, offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degree programs in computer science and information technology. The school is committed to advancing teaching, research, innovation, publication, and professional training. Its major research laboratories include the Data Science Research Lab (DSRL), Internetwork Research Lab (IRL), Human-Centred Computing (HCC) Lab, and Data Management and Software Solution (DMSS) Lab.

This visit laid the groundwork for the development of a future Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as well as joint research initiatives, international research funding applications, faculty and student exchange programs, short-term mobility projects, semester-long student exchanges with transferable credits, a joint summer camp program, and opportunities for cooperative education placements at UUM. This collaboration marks another significant step in driving the School of Informatics toward internationalization. It opens up new academic and research opportunities while fostering tangible development for both students and faculty members.
