Philosophy / Objectives

  • Academic Track:
    The program aims to produce graduates with solid knowledge and expertise in integrating artificial intelligence and digital media innovation through research processes that effectively link theory to practice. Graduates will be capable of advancing academic knowledge, addressing the challenges of rapid technological transformation, and serving as a key driving force in promoting the digital economy toward sustainable development at both national and international levels.
  • Professional Track:
    The program aims to produce graduates with strong knowledge and professional competence in the application of artificial intelligence and digital media innovation. Graduates will be able to employ modern tools and technologies to enhance professional practice, improve organizational performance, create competitive advantages, and drive organizations through digital technologies, as well as generate innovations that are beneficial at the national level.

Vision

     The program is aligned with Walailak University’s vision of becoming “a leading comprehensive research university in Thailand.” It is designed to strongly integrate teaching and learning with research activities, with an emphasis on developing researchers capable of generating knowledge and innovations in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation that respond to national needs.

     In accordance with the University’s missions of producing and developing high-quality human resources, conducting research and development, providing academic services, and preserving arts and culture, the program addresses these missions by cultivating graduates who are able to apply and integrate knowledge for practical utilization. This includes the provision of academic services in information technology to communities and society, as well as the application of digital technologies to the preservation and dissemination of Southern Thai arts and cultural heritage.

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Academic Track (Track 1.1 and 1.2)

         Graduates of the Academic Track will be able to:

    1. Apply research methodologies to analyze and address academic problems in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    2. Generate new knowledge through research that contributes to academic advancement in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    3. Communicate and present research ideas and outcomes in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation at the international level.
    4. Systematically use digital technologies in the design and development of research in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    5. Adhere to research ethics in academic referencing, personal data protection, and respect for intellectual property.
    6. Demonstrate responsibility in conducting research and engage in continuous self-development for academic advancement in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    7. Adapt to emerging technologies in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation for the systematic management of research activities.
  • Professional Track (Track 2)

         Graduates of the Professional Track will be able to:

    1. Apply research methodologies to analyze problems and utilize them in the development of professional practice in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    2. Apply existing knowledge to enhance work efficiency within professional contexts related to artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    3. Communicate and effectively present system concepts and solutions within organizations or professional forums in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    4. Utilize digital technologies to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of professional practice in artificial intelligence and digital media innovation.
    5. Adhere to research ethics in academic referencing, personal data protection, and respect for intellectual property.
