You are cordially invited to attend the “Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: SoTL9” academic seminar on research development for teaching and learning, 9th edition.

Taking place from May 1st to May 3rd, 2024, at the Architecture Building, Walailak University. Additionally, the School has been honored to participate in exhibitions, workshops, and presentations of outstanding faculty work.

On May 1st, 2024, there will be a workshop titled “Virtual Reality Training for Education” by Assistant Professor Dr. Chaowanun Chundam, Deputy Dean of the School.

On May 3rd, 2024, there will be a presentation on academic work titled “Game Application for Basic CPR Chest Compressions Training” by Assistant Professor Dr. Chalee Kaewrat and Associate Professor Dr. Yanyong Panthawasdi.

Furthermore, the seminar will feature other special activities such as creating spaces for exchanging thoughts and experiences among participants, presenting educational projects and innovations, and discussing new trends in teaching and learning.

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted the 4th international seminar “INFOCON 2025” under the theme “AI in Higher Education” via Zoom. The event featured experts from Thailand, Malaysia, and the UK who shared insights on integrating AI into higher education. With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
