Prince of Songkla University, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, and Walailak University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on “Developing a Drug and Health Product Database for Consumers” on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. Assoc signed the MOU. Prof. Dr. Nimit Warakul, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kornkanok Phokasawat, Dean of the Faculty of Management Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaewphanuk, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics, Walailak University.
This collaboration aims to promote academic activities in teaching, research, and training for faculty members and students and to disseminate knowledge about drug and health product databases to medical personnel, students, and the general public. Additionally, it focuses on optimizing resource sharing for maximum benefit and fulfilling the missions of all three universities.
Under this agreement, Prince of Songkla University will provide drug and health product information, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya will facilitate and support database development, and Walailak University will contribute resources, including server systems. The collaboration is set for five years, from February 26, 2025, to February 26, 2030.
In addition to the signing ceremony, the meeting included presentations on operational approaches by representatives from all three institutions: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panupong Puttarak from Prince of Songkla University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nattapong Kaewboonma from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, and Dr. Yuttana Jaroenruen from Walailak University. The event also featured a tour of the Social Mission Department at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a meeting of working group representatives to establish sustainable collaboration strategies for the future.
