School of Informatics Participates in the Preservation of the Merit-Making Tradition of “Haitanfai”

On 25 December 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, led by its staff members and the Student Club of the School of Information Science, participated in the “Haitanfai” merit-making activity, a long-established traditional practice. The event was held at the Dhamma Courtyard, Chor Pradu Food Center, Walailak University.

This activity was organized to preserve and promote valuable Thai cultural traditions, as well as to encourage merit-making, generosity, and a sense of public responsibility, which are fundamental principles of Buddhism. The event received strong cooperation and participation from staff members, students, and devoted contributors who jointly made donations to support this charitable activity.

The donated funds were presented to the temple to support religious activities and community development, as well as to help sustain and promote Buddhism. In addition, the activity fostered unity, generosity, and positive relationships among staff, students, and the surrounding community.
