School of Informatics, Walailak University organizes the seminar: “Strategies and Guidelines for the Development of the School of Informatics, 2026”

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, organized a seminar on “Strategies and Guidelines for the Development of the School of Informatics, 2026” from November 5–7, 2025, at Laguna Grand Hotel & Spa, Songkhla Province. The Dean, Associate Deans, faculty members, and staff of the School all participated in the activity.

This activity was held to review lessons learned, exchange past operational experiences, and collaboratively formulate development strategies for the coming year, ensuring the School of Informatics moves in a direction aligned with the policies of Walailak University.

The first day of the seminar began with an opening address by the Dean of the School, who also presented the operational results from the past year. The Dean proudly reported that the School had successfully achieved its goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI50). Following this, the Associate Dean presented the annual operational plan and budget, before moving into the presentation of strategic plans for each program by the Heads of Division and Program Directors. This segment included reviewing lessons learned, exchanging knowledge, and sharing success stories to determine appropriate development guidelines for the context of each program.

On the second day of the seminar, the School was honored to welcome Assistant Professor, Doctor Pavarud Puangsri, Deputy Director of Walailak University Hospital, as a special speaker. He presented on the topic “Team Reflection, School Completion,” which focused on building teamwork and positive relationships within the organization through fun and engaging group activities. These included introductions based on years of service, the activity “Similarities Gather,” and a brainstorming session for the development of the School.

Additionally, awards were presented to the individuals with the highest workload, across both the academic and operational lines, to boost morale and encourage those who have dedicated themselves to their work and achieved outstanding results. These awards are considered both a mark of success and an inspiration for everyone to continually strive for self-improvement.

The event concluded with team-building activities to foster unity, understanding, and a warm atmosphere among the faculty and staff before they safely returned to Walailak University.

This seminar marks another important platform that reflects the cooperation, unity, and participation of all parties in the development of the School of Informatics, positioning it for a stable and creative transition into the year 2026.
