The School of Informatics extends a warm welcome to Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar, Head of the Program Department of Media Conception and Production.

On December 7th, the School of Informatics had the privilege of welcoming Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar, Head of the Program Department of Media Conception and Production from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The purpose of this visit was to enhance collaboration in research, teaching, student exchange (both inbound and outbound), and internships.

Accompanied by Asst.Prof.Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics, along with Asst.Prof.Dr. Chaowanan Khundam, Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, the Deputy Dean, Dr. Sasithorn Rattanarungrot, the Assistant Dean for International Affairs, and other faculty members of the School of Informatics, Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar received a warm welcome.

Furthermore, they visited the newly renovated Informatics Studio, which will be fully operational and ready for use in January 2024.

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted the 4th international seminar “INFOCON 2025” under the theme “AI in Higher Education” via Zoom. The event featured experts from Thailand, Malaysia, and the UK who shared insights on integrating AI into higher education. With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
