School of Informatics Upholds the Tradition of “Boon Hai Than Fai”

On February 25, 2025, the School of Informatics at Walailak University, led by its staff, participated in the “Boon Hai Than Fai” event, a longstanding cultural tradition, at Wat Senaram, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

This event was made possible through the cooperation and contributions of the school’s staff and other generous individuals who came together to raise a total donation of 2,072 baht. The funds were handed over to the temple to support religious activities and community development.

The School of Informatics would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in this meaningful event. May the merit made from this activity bring happiness and blessings to all who were involved in preserving this cherished cultural tradition.

“Boon Hai Than Fai” is a tradition that reflects the generosity and compassion of the community while fostering unity and strong social bonds.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
