The School of Informatics participated in the almsgiving ceremony to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of Walailak University

On March 28, 2025, faculty members and staff from the School of Informatics participated in an almsgiving ceremony with dry food offerings for blessings and to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the founding of Walailak University.

The event included the almsgiving ceremony, religious ceremonies, the royal decoration ceremony for those receiving lower than the sash insignia, an award presentation for personnel who have served continuously for 25 years, and an award ceremony for outstanding alumni.

On this occasion, the School of Informatics would like to congratulate:

  • Mr. Songwut Songpim and Mr. Petchdanai Wongwairatanakul
    who received the gold ring in recognition of 25 years of continuous service.
  • Mr. Khundee Lamsub (an alumnus from the Information Management program)
    who received the Outstanding Alumni Award for 2024 for his contributions to the university.

Congratulations once again on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Walailak University, a time of progress, and may the university continue to grow steadily and sustainably.

On February 13, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, led the executive team, faculty, researchers, staff, and students in welcoming the Senate Committee on Education, Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation. The delegation was led by Mr. Amornsak Kitthananan, Vice Chairman of the Committee, during their visit to observe outstanding research at the Informatics Studio.

On 3 February 2026, the executive team of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, together with the management team comprising Associate Professor Dr. Chaowanan Khundam and Assistant Professor Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, Associate Deans of the School of Informatics, as well as Mr. Kampanat Surangpak, Graduate Studies Project Officer of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Innovation Program, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Mongkol Teerananond, Vice President for International Relations and University Development, at the Wichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University.

On January 31, 2026, Walailak University administrators and representatives, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard, Vice President for Cooperative Education and General Administration, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, Associate Dean of the School of Informatics, the Acting Head of the Internal Audit Unit, and the university's internal auditors, attended the 100-Day Merit-Making Ceremony (Satamawara).

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, organized a knowledge-sharing activity entitled “Move Right, Eat Smart: Exercise Techniques to Reduce Office Syndrome and Nutrition for a Better Quality of Life” for staff of the School of Informatics for the academic year 2026. The activity aimed to promote physical and mental well-being in the workplace, while also fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration within the organization.
