Walailak University Applauds the Achievements of Students and Staff from the School of Informatics

On November 27, 2024, before the 9th/2024 University Executive Meeting at the meeting room “Chor Pradoo,” 4th floor of the Walailak University Medical Center, Professor Dr. Somporn Thamrongthanyawong, the President of Walailak University, presented a bouquet of flowers to the students and staff of the School of Informatics, who have brought honor to the university, as follows:

  • Staff Achievements
    – Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, a faculty member from the School of Informatics, was recognized as the project leader of the Walailak University research project, which received funding from external sources for the fiscal year 2025.
  • Student Achievements
    • Photography Contest
      Students from the Digital Communication Arts program of the School of Informatics participated in a photography contest titled “LIFE & LINE: Lines and Patterns of Local Community Identity,” organized by the Jean Émile Garro Foundation, and received a total of 2 awards:

      • 2nd Runner-Up Award: Mr. Wachirawit Nguanson
      • Honorable Mention: Mr. Krittanai Surachaisittichoke and Ms. Nattanan Selaanan
      • This contest was overseen by Ms. Budsarin Nantakat, who served as an advisor to the students.
    • Innovation for Road Safety
      Students from the Digital Technology in Medicine program were part of the Walai Volunteers team, which received the First Prize for their academic project titled “Digital Map Innovation for Navigation and Hazard Analysis within Walailak University” at the 16th National Academic Seminar (Road Safety Strong Together).
      The participating students were:
