Welcome Professor Stephan Schwarz from the Department of Media Conception and Production, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

On March 26th of this year, the School of Informatics had the honor of welcoming Prof. Stephan Schwarz from the Department of Media Conception and Production, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany. His visit aimed to strengthen collaboration in research, teaching, and student exchange programs, both inbound and outbound, as well as internships abroad.

Asst.Prof.Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, the acting Dean of the School of Informatics, along with Asst.Prof.Dr. Chaowanan Khundam, Dr. Pornpon Thamrongrat, Associate Dean, and other faculty members warmly received Prof. Stephan Schwarz.

During the morning session, Prof. Stephan Schwarz delivered a lecture on “Media Conception and Production” to third-year students majoring in Digital Communication. He also provided insights into further study opportunities and guidelines for student exchange programs or international short courses in Germany.

In the afternoon, Prof. Stephan Schwarz and faculty members engaged in discussions regarding potential opportunities and collaborations. Dr. Attanant Techatanavat, representing the Digital Communication program, initially presented international collaborations developed by the program with universities from five countries: the Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, and Thailand. Subsequently, discussions focused on exchanging ideas and exploring possibilities for enhancing research collaboration, student exchange programs, and further collaboration development.

Later, a visit to the Informatics Studio Lab was conducted, showcasing the newly established facility for student practical training across the five programs. Demonstrations included news broadcasting and the utilization of VR/AR technology for research aimed at promoting cultural heritage in the southern region, particularly in Narathiwat Province. Moreover, discussions took place regarding opportunities and advancements in research collaboration.

The School of Informatics is committed to developing and fostering international cooperation across various domains, including joint research endeavors with researchers from foreign universities, staff and student exchange programs, international internships, inviting professors for teaching roles, and fostering collaboration in diverse fields. These endeavors align with the university’s overarching policy to enhance internationalization towards achieving global recognition.
