The School of Informatics welcomes students and faculty from Chaloratrat Ratsadon Uthit School.

On June 14, 2024, the School of Informatics at Walailak University had the opportunity to welcome students and faculty from Chaloratrat Ratsadon Uthit School in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province for a visit to the School of Informatics’ facilities.

The purpose of this visit was to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the School of Informatics, including a tour of the laboratories for all five programs within the School. Each program provided an introduction to its respective laboratory and explained the various equipment used in teaching and learning.

The School of Informatics would like to thank the students and faculty from Chaloratrat Ratsadon Uthit School for honoring us with their visit. We hope that all students gained valuable insights and inspiration from this visit, contributing to their growth and development in the future.

The School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted the 4th international seminar “INFOCON 2025” under the theme “AI in Higher Education” via Zoom. The event featured experts from Thailand, Malaysia, and the UK who shared insights on integrating AI into higher education. With over 700 registered participants from around the world, the seminar fostered international academic collaboration and highlighted the growing role of AI in global education.

Walailak University’s School of Informatics Welcomes Dr. Ludovic Andres from the French Embassy in Thailand

On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
