On September 16, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, accompanied by Dr. Attanan Tachopisalwong, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, along with faculty members and staff, visited Hungkuang University in Taiwan. The mission aimed to strengthen academic partnerships and advance international cooperative education initiatives. The delegation received a warm welcome from Dr. Paul Lin, Secretary-General, and Dr. Tiger Tien, Dean of the Office of International Affairs, alongside faculty and staff members.

During the visit, the delegation toured state-of-the-art digital technology laboratories. Prof. Dr. Jian Hua Tong, Chair of the Department of Intelligent Technology and Application, guided the group through the Drone Technology and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where both institutions discussed the integration of emerging technologies into modern curricula. Additionally, Asst. Prof. Chang Shin Ming from the Department of Multimedia Game Development and Application led a tour of the Game, Animation, and E-Sports facilities, facilitating constructive discussions on project-based learning and hands-on professional development.

Both institutions also engaged in discussions regarding the sustainable expansion of international cooperative education. The initiative aims to broaden eligibility for students across various programs with complementary skills, allowing them to undertake internships and co-op placements at Hungkuang University, while fostering future student exchanges and collaborative academic activities.

Furthermore, the delegation met with fourth-year students from the Digital Content and Media program currently undertaking their cooperative education placements at Hungkuang University. The meeting provided valuable insights into students’ work experiences, learning trajectories, and cross-cultural adaptations, which will inform the continuous improvement of support systems for future cohorts.
