School of Informatics, Walailak University Launches Music Video “Kham Tak (Warning)” to Showcase Sichon’s Cultural Heritage through Digital Media
The School of Informatics, Walailak University has launched a music video titled “Kham Tak (Warning)”, as part of the subproject “Creative Development of Local Cultural Capital through Digital Storytelling”, under the main project “Management of Belief-Based Cultural Capital around Ancient Sand Dunes to Enhance the Local Economy in Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.” The main project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Phongsakornrungslip, Vice President of Walailak University, with the subproject managed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Fareeda Je-Aoh and Dr. Naparat Chookerd, lecturers from the School of Informatics.
The music video “Kham Tak (Warning)” uses digital storytelling to convey the beliefs, teachings, and local wisdom of the Sichon community. Through a harmonious blend of traditional Thai folk melodies and modern elements, the song reflects the way of life, values, and long-standing cultural traditions of the area. The lyrics carry meaningful advice and thoughtful warnings, derived from the community’s spiritual beliefs and lived experiences.
