On March 27, 2025, the Digital Technology in Medicine Program, Walailak University, was honored by the Science and Technology Park, Walailak University, to present its research and innovation at Walailak Investor Day 2025. The event served as a platform for faculty members, researchers, and entrepreneurs to showcase high-potential innovations ready for investment and commercial development.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalee Kaewrat, a faculty member of the Digital Technology in Medicine Program, was invited to present his project titled: “Design and Development of a Physical Strength Assessment System for the Elderly Using Augmented Reality (AR)”
This innovation focuses on promoting health among the elderly by utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) technology to assess physical performance—such as strength, balance, and agility—conveniently from home. The system also aims to motivate seniors to engage in regular exercise through interactive and user-friendly tools.
This participation not only highlights the technological advancement of the program but also demonstrates the strong potential of research that can be developed into real-world applications at a national level.
