School of Informatics Walailak University hosted an Agentic AI workshop to advance green innovation, warmly and memorably concluding the visit of TUIT students [Day 2]

April 22, 2026: The School of Informatics at Walailak University continued its student exchange program with Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), Uzbekistan, into its second day. The activities focused on innovation for sustainability under the theme “Agentic AI for Green Campus.” The program was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chanankorn Jandaeng, a lecturer in the Intelligent Information Technology program, together with the International Affairs team.

.

The Day 2 activities were designed to deepen students’ understanding of artificial intelligence and its applications for sustainable university development. Students from TUIT joined Walailak University students in three main sessions:

  • Conceptual Foundation: Building the Path to Sustainability
Students explored key concepts of Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), technologies that support the development of intelligent systems for driving sustainable campuses.
  • System Architecture Design: Designing Intelligent Systems
In this session, students collaboratively designed the architecture of a Green Campus RAG system, integrating AI knowledge with real-world university resource management contexts.
  • From RAG to Action: Turning Concepts into Practice
The highlight of the day involved advancing AI systems from information retrieval tools into autonomous agents capable of planning and executing tasks, reflecting real-world technological potential.

Beyond academic activities, students from both institutions also engaged in cultural exchange activities, fostering international friendships. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, enjoyment, and borderless learning.
