The School of Informatics, Walailak University, continues to strengthen its international academic networks and collaborations. Recently, Associate Professor Dr. Bukhoree Sahoh, a lecturer at the School of Informatics, was invited as a guest speaker to share his vision and expertise in technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at two major international academic events.
International Academic Talk at UniSZA, Malaysia
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bukhoree was invited by the Faculty of Informatics and Computing (FIK), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, to deliver a special lecture titled:
“Beyond the Black Box: The Shift to Causal AI and the Future of Trusted AGI”
The lecture explored the technological transition from traditional AI systems toward “Causal AI,” emphasizing explainability, trustworthiness, and safety in the future development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The session was conducted online via WebEx late last year.
International Webinar: CTM CONNECT WEBINAR SERIES 1/2026
Continuing his international academic engagement, on May 4, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bukhoree participated as a speaker in the international webinar “CTM CONNECT WEBINAR SERIES 1/2026,” organized by the Department of Communication, Faculty of Business & Communication, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), in collaboration with Walailak University.
During the webinar, he delivered a lecture titled:
“From Population-Based to Personalization-Based Agents: Why Mental Well-Being in the Digital Age Demands Causal AI”
The presentation highlighted the importance of applying Causal AI to analyze and support personalized mental well-being in the digital era. The webinar attracted a large audience of experts, lecturers, and students from both Thailand and Malaysia through Google Meet.
Being invited to speak at international academic platforms not only reflects the global recognition of Walailak University’s cutting-edge research and expertise, but also strengthens academic collaboration with leading international institutions.
