On May 6, 2026, at Walailak University, the School of Informatics organized the “Parents Meeting 2026” event to welcome and prepare the 29th generation of new students for their official journey into university life. The atmosphere was warm and lively, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatjana Kaewpanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, together with administrators, lecturers, academic staff, and the School of Informatics Student Club.
April 22, 2026: The School of Informatics at Walailak University continued its student exchange program with Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), Uzbekistan, into its second day. The activities focused on innovation for sustainability under the theme "Agentic AI for Green Campus." The program was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chanankorn Jandaeng, a lecturer in the Intelligent Information Technology program, together with the International Affairs team.
April 21, 2026: The School of Informatics at Walailak University continues to drive internationalization by hosting an exchange program for students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), Uzbekistan. The first day focused on exchanging knowledge in information technology and modern innovation.
On April 8, 2026, the School of Informatics at Walailak University participated in the "Walailak Songkran Song-Suk" event held at the Architecture and Design Excellence Center. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University.
On March 31, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, accompanied by the school's executive team, faculty members, and Dr. Darunee Bunkrong, Assistant Dean for Chinese Strategic Affairs at the College of Graduate Studies, held a meeting to discuss academic collaboration with Sichuan University of Science and Technology (SUST) in the People's Republic of China.
On March 30, 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, along with the school's executive team, faculty members, and Dr. Darunee Bunkrong, Assistant Dean for Chinese Strategic Graduate Studies and Educational Cooperation of the College of Graduate Studies, visited and held discussions with faculty members from universities and student recruitment agencies in the People's Republic of China.
On March 27, 2026, the faculty and staff of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, participated in the commemorative ceremony marking the 34th Anniversary of Walailak University’s Foundation (March 29). The event was held to celebrate over three decades of academic excellence and institutional pride.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, hosted a graduate scholarship award ceremony. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Mongkol Theerananon, Vice President for University Relations and Development, who presided over the event. He was joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Dean of the School of Informatics, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaowanan Khundam, Vice Dean and Chair of the Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Innovation, along with faculty members, staff, and master's and doctoral students who attended the ceremony.
March 16, 2026 – The School of Informatics, Walailak University warmly welcomed Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar, a distinguished faculty member from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany. This visit marks a significant milestone in expanding academic and research collaborations, further driving the School toward continuous internationalization.
