March 16, 2026 – The School of Informatics, Walailak University warmly welcomed Prof. Claudia Maria Aymar, a distinguished faculty member from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Germany. This visit marks a significant milestone in expanding academic and research collaborations, further driving the School toward continuous internationalization.

On October 2, 2025, the School of Informatics warmly welcomed Dr. Paul Lin, Secretary-General, and Dr. Tiger Tien, Dean of the Office of International Affairs from Hungkuang University, Taiwan. The visit aimed to discuss future academic collaboration opportunities 🤝.
From 18–22 August 2025, master’s students from the Master of Information Technology and Innovation (MITI) program at Walailak University participated in the International Inbound Programme at the Centre for Instructional Technology and Multimedia (PTPM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), under the theme “AI and VR Revolution in Learning.”
Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat – From September 10-11, 2025, the School of Informatics at Walailak University extended a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Marc Stöttinger, a distinguished professor from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Germany. His visit represents a significant opportunity to expand academic and research collaborations, further advancing the school's internationalization goals.
On September 8, 2025, the School of Informatics at Walailak University warmly welcomed faculty and exchange students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, majoring in Informatics Education, at the University of Trunojoyo Madura in Indonesia. This visit marks another significant step in fostering academic ties and collaboration between the two institutions, opening the door for international knowledge and cultural exchange.
On May 14, 2025, the School of Informatics, Walailak University, had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ludovic Andres, a representative from the French Embassy in Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to the Informatics Studio – the school’s state-of-the-art academic and digital innovation facility. In the morning, Dr. Andres paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. During the meeting, both parties exchanged ideas on strengthening academic cooperation between Thailand and France, with a focus on promoting education, developing digital skills, facilitating student exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for joint research in the future.
On May 9, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics at Walailak University, along with the school's executive team and faculty members from all programs, visited Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) to further and expand international academic collaboration. During this visit, the delegation received a warm welcome from Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezal Hamzah, Dean of the Faculty of Business & Communication, and his administrative team. The faculty offers undergraduate programs in New Media Communication, integrating skills in communication, new media, information technology, and management. Additionally, they have recently introduced a program in Interactive Multimedia. At the postgraduate level, they offer a program in Communication and Information Technology, which currently attracts a significant number of international students.
On May 8, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics, Walailak University, together with the school’s executive team and faculty members from all programs, visited the School of Computing, UUM College of Arts and Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia, to continue and strengthen international academic collaboration. 🌐
