The School of Informatics, Walailak University, proudly participated in the Curriculum Market Fair hosted at Ubon Ratchathani University on July 3–4, 2025, held at the 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of high school students eager to learn more about academic programs and future study options.
The School of Informatics, Walailak University has launched a music video titled “Kham Tak (Warning)”, as part of the subproject “Creative Development of Local Cultural Capital through Digital Storytelling”, under the main project “Management of Belief-Based Cultural Capital around Ancient Sand Dunes to Enhance the Local Economy in Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat.” The main project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Phongsakornrungslip, Vice President of Walailak University, with the subproject managed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Fareeda Je-Aoh and Dr. Naparat Chookerd, lecturers from the School of Informatics.

Prince of Songkla University, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, and Walailak University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on "Developing a Drug and Health Product Database for Consumers" on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. Assoc signed the MOU. Prof. Dr. Nimit Warakul, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Kornkanok Phokasawat, Dean of the Faculty of Management Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaewphanuk, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics, Walailak University.
The School of Information Science was honored to participate as a judge in the vocational skill competition at the 33rd National Academic Conference of the Organization of Future Professionals of Thailand, held on February 13, 2025, at Trang Polytechnic College, Trang Province. The event featured a competition for the development of motion graphic public relations media at the vocational certificate level (V.E.C.), an important opportunity to support and promote youth in the digital business technology field, particularly in media production and design standards.
On January 9, 2025, the Faculty of Informatics held a New Year Party at Villa Kani Resort & Restaurant, Thasala District. The event was attended by faculty members, staff, and personnel, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.
From October 29 to November 1, 2024, the Intelligent Information Technology Program, School of Informatics, Walailak University, organized a hands-on workshop on Tableau for its faculty members. The workshop was led by Ajarn Yongyut Likhitpattanakul, a data analysis expert, who shared his knowledge and techniques.
On October 28, 2024, the Intelligent Information Technology Program, School of Informatics, Walailak University, organized a hands-on workshop titled "React Native Developer".
On October 8, 2024, the School of Informatics at Walailak University underwent an evaluation of its educational quality at the school level under the WUQA-S criteria for the academic year 2023. From the evaluation, the School of Informatics received scores in two main areas as follows: S1: 4.00 and S2: 6.07
