On February 16th, 2024, the School of Informatics had the esteemed privilege of welcoming Prof. Dr. Rahamatullah Khondoker and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Penirschke from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
Accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siriwat Kaewpunuk, Acting Dean of the School of Informatics, along with Dr. Sasithorn Rattanarungroj, the Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Dr. Channarong Jandang, and Dr. Rujrat Nongrakrat, faculty members provided a warm reception.
During the morning session, there was a presentation on the School’s profile and discussions on academic collaboration to exchange knowledge on Cybersecurity research. Dr. Channarong Jandang presented research topics for mutual learning and discussed avenues for research collaboration between the two universities.
Following the discussions, the delegation visited the Informatics Studio, the newly constructed informatics laboratory building of the School. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chaowannan Khundam, the Deputy Dean, Dr. Phoraphol Thammamongkolkul, the Head of Research, Dr. Teerachai Saichu, the Head of Information Technology, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanyong Panthawat, along with other faculty members, warmly welcomed and accompanied them on the tour.
Within the Informatics Studio, students have access to various learning and practical training facilities, including Digital Medical Technology laboratories, AI, Machine Learning, and IoT laboratories, fully equipped Mac Studios for VR, AR, and digital content creation, as well as large-scale multimedia studios for television production and sound editing.
