On August 17, 2024, Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Naparat Chuakerd and students from the School of Informatics, in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, visited Wat Wang Tawan Tok to film an interview with Phra Khru Phromkhet Khanarak, Ph.D., the abbot of Wat Wang Tawan Tok, regarding the temple’s meditation project. The interview covered the following topics:
- Objectives of the project
- Project timeline
- Participating countries (besides Thailand)
- Contact information for those interested in joining the project
- Project follow-up and expansion
The video will be part of the creation of a website serving as a system for disclosing the temple’s information. This aligns with the temple’s management under Good Governance Principle No. 8, which requires a formal system for disclosing both financial and non-financial information. The Information System for Temple Transparency project is a collaboration between the School of Informatics and the Center for Academic Services. Its goal is to provide a high-quality and efficient information system for the temple, integrating academic instruction from various courses within the Digital Content and Media program. The project will also evolve into research on developing an easily accessible, user-friendly information system that meets the needs of the temple’s committee, the Public Policy Foundation for Society and Governance, and other stakeholders.
This initiative further integrates cooperation across different sectors, particularly public organizations, to sustainably develop educational resources.
